Whether you want to stride out over Plynlimon Mountain in the historic footsteps of George Borrow, stroll through the enchanted Hafod Estate, get close enough to feed the majestic Red Kite or just relax in the breath taking countryside, the Pumlumon area -is the place for you.

You can visit the fascinating Llywernog
Silver-Lead mine where a guided tour takes you underground,
visit the famous Devil’s
Bridge Falls, watch the daily Kite feeding at
Bwlch Nant yr
Arian, while the more adventurous can try out the mountain
bike trails there.
If all you want to do is relax
why not enjoy a scenic round of golf at Capel Bangor or
make the most of the fresh air on horseback at Rheidol Riding Centre.
For less favourable weather conditions there are plenty of things to do; why not visit the indoor Magic of Life Butterfly House where you can walk among free-flying butterflies in a luxuriant tropical environment or just along the valley you can head underground learning about the Rheidol Hydro Electric Scheme, another great all weather attraction. |

Take our car trail trivia routes and be swept through the beautiful and interesting countryside in the hills and valleys around Pumlumon.
In this enchanting area we have placed ‘Heritage Panels’ containing detailed information on the history, myths and legends of the area.
Choose a trail and navigate carefully to find details of restaurants, cafés, toilets, attractions and activities on route but be careful not to let the temptation of the many other things to do distract you from your quest!

The next challenge in the Cambrian Mountain range takes place on September 27th 2008.
