Owain Glyndwr's Monument at Nant-y-Moch

Owain Glyndwr united Wales and opposed King Henry the Fourth's despotic oppression of the people. At this place, Owain and his followers, hoplessly outnumbered, engaged and defeated a formidable English army of over 10,000 men.

At the foot of Pumlumon Fawr lies the impressive Nant-y-Moch reservoir and Dam. Once the scene, 600 years ago of a famous and bloody battle, the valley was dammed to create a reservoir holding some 26000 million litres of water. A 4 kilometre tunnel conveys the water 350 metres down to the Power Station in the Rheidol valley below.
